FinOps is an evolving cloud financial management discipline and practice. It enables you to increase business value by helping business teams to collaborate on data-driven spend decisions.
We focus on:
- Deploying tools to enable cost and IT landscape visibility
- Automating discovery tools to provide real-time reporting and visibility
- Establishing a FinOps working group, accountable for driving FinOps culture and initiatives

The practice of FinOps is iterative, and the maturity of any process, functional activity, or capability will improve when dedicated attention is applied.
During this phase we drive platform value by:
- Implementing cloud service provisioning best-practice
- Automating performance reporting that identifies service optimisation opportunities (e.g. EC2, S3, EBS, disk space optimisation, snapshot management, tagging etc)
- Driving optimisation initiatives, then reviewing and tracking success
- Optimising licence and cost allocation
- Evaluating Savings Plan opportunities

Our approach is to:
- Build a Cloud Cost Center of Excellence (CCCoE) around business stakeholders, whom define the appropriate governance policies and models
- Automate cost tracking notifications, providing real time visibility of cost changes
- Ensure the FinOps CoE is a core stakeholder in future technology investment decisions
- Upskill and empower end users, enabling them to make better decisions based on data and real-time information
