Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Join our growing team working on diverse technology projects in the resources, government, utilities, technology, and marine industries. 

We are seeking infrastructure engineers experienced in modern cloud technologies to join our technical team supporting projects and operations for enterprise and government customers.

In this role you will be involved in all facets of the infrastructure and cloud domain including:

• Requirements definition.
• Solution Design.
• Consulting.
• Projection implementation. 
• Operational support and optimisation.

We’re looking for people who have strong hands-on experience in the areas below: 

• Microsoft (eg. Active Directory, Azure, M365, Exchange Online, Teams, MECM, InTune).
• AWS (eg. EC2, S3, DirectConnect, CloudWatch, ELB, Route 53, WAF, WorkSpaces).
• Data protection technologies (backup / restore / disaster recovery).
• Hypervisors (eg. VMware, HyperV).
• Citrix (eg. NetScaler).
• Hyperconverged and multi-tiered infrastructure (hardware).

We don’t expect you to have experience in all of these, however, we very much value the desire to learn and to be flexible.

This is a customer-facing position which requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to change quickly. Things that will help you to be successful in this role include:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure.
• A solid understanding of cloud platform design, deployment and operations.
• Hands on experience in the migration of on-premise workloads to cloud.
• The ability to analyse business requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
• The patience and persistence to methodically work through problems and share your learnings with the team and clients.
• Empathy to communicate with clients and team members in a collaborative, friendly and professional manner. 
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, set priorities and manage time.
• Industry certifications (eg. AWS / Microsoft / GCP).
• A relevant university degree or other formal qualifications.
• Experience in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and FinOps will be highly regarded.
